What was your very first LP?

This......

I'm sure everyone's heard tracks from Hysteria (except maybe for some Iraqi shepherds)...... and Geoff from Finance.

I know the man by sight, but I've never heard any tracks. Never.

His appearance is off-putting.

I have several covers of his tracks though (by bright young things like Saint Etienne, PJ Harvey and The Alarm).

Cylob, you need to listen to Harvest by Neil Young, utter class.....

It's been said that I could start an arguement in an empty room.....I see no reason to disbelieve this.

When I complete the genres I'm on I'll consider it.... I didn't realise there were so many american dreampop bands (thriving over there). Then there's the New Wave Complex, International Deejay Gigolos and Nova Tunes compilations (about 10 of each). Then there's the electroclash bands themselves - a new band forms every week.

About 5,000 MP3's in the above. Busy busy busy....

Well I am a young one to music, born into the cassette world.
So my first LP (I bought) is the single of Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar.
Its odd, I know, but oh well. I was not the generation that grew up with them. So it was obvious the first one I was to buy would not be a classic from back in my parents days.

I found this at a garage sale last year, this was my first LP ever, I'm only 15 so I wasn't around when LP's were.
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

That is Black Sabbath's first album, recorded on the way to a gig in germany. It was done In twelve hours, but its still good quality. Black Sabbath at its best.

My first LP... Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

I guess you could call this one of the first real heavy metal albums.

I remember it was warped but still played.

I grew up right on the edge the death of vinyl, I remember listening to Octopus's Garden which was on vinyl but it was my parent's. I also had a smurf album that totally ruled!
