What introduced you to music?

Whether it was the first forms of music you were ever introduced to, or stuff you're familiar with now (Whether they've changed or not since then), what led you to the life of music?

Messah was dull-minded when I first was into music...I had no definite interests...I don't know what age I was then, but I was young, and when I was first opened to music, I liked NSync, BSB, Brittney Spears, and the likes...Sad times, when I looked back on it... The only (relativly) good music I liked was Will Smith, and Eminem too, but now thing's are completly different for either anyway...

But when I got the soundtrack to "Godzilla", it opened up the doors of rock music a little bit to me, when I was into the tracks by "The Wallflowers" and "Rage Against The Machine", which were featured on the soundtrack...

I don't think it was until around 1999 when KoRn released "Follow The Leader", Limp Bizkit had "Significant Other", and Kid Rock's "Devil Without A Cause" were out...All albums were bought, because I liked KoRn's "Freak On A Leash", Limp's "Nookie", and Rock's "Bawitdaba". Alot of people may frown on them, but I like them, and they're what brought me out of the teeny bopper world and into a rocker (And AC/DC and Metallica too, but I didn't know back then), which I am today (And a live Buckcherry/Fuel/Kid Rock concert a year later also sealed the rocker deal too, alot). My dad was a rocker his whole life, so he probably sided with the sounds of ripping guitars over mindless lyrics of "Oh baby" anyway...

Other bands and sub-genres of rock music also came to me as my interests grew. Getting into skateboarding, I bought "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" for my Playstation, and the punk rock soundtrack really got to me. That was one thing...

There were also some other influences, but this was my main one...

"I just want to lie in my own crusty filth, eating rancid egg sandwiches, until some unfortunate paramedic has to blow down my door to find my bloated and pasty corpse wedged between the nightstand and mattress stained with Bengay and Robitussin DM." - Greg Gutfeld on sex and seniors
"Syphilis does not stay in Vegas. Debt collectors do not stay in Vegas. Dead hookers stay in Vegas, but the guilt stays with you forever." - Bill Schultz

My family is huge on music. From the folks, classic rock; my brother got me into alternative (The Cure, DM, etc.); and my sis played a big factor in the hiphop/rap scene. Also, my ex was the one who introduced me to the Latin scene. Music is a big part of my life

My best friend and his father introduced me to Aerosmith a long time ago and I've never looked back. From there it went from Aerosmith to Limp Bizkit, and a lot of other genres that would take a long as hell time to list.

Dad introduced me. It was a rainy day, I was six and he pulled out his collection of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Blondie and The Who LP's, he showed them to me and yer that was my foundation to music.

My ears introduced me to music.

As for good music - I went with impulse alone. I followed no-one's advice.

My father introduced me to music. The first musical memory i have is Paul Simon's album Graceland.

I must have hears lots of Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Ten Years After and some old 30's-50's Chicago-blues when I was very young becouse all this stuff just felt so natural for me when I rediscovered them when I was 12.

offshore radio did back in the 70's.
in the early 70's there were about 4 offshore radiostations.
radio caroline, radio veronica, radio northsea international, they were popular amongst 75% of the people living in the netherlands. so all I ever did hear from age 5 was music all day long.

silly ended up liking music?

Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music.
