It's mostly been a Riot Grrrl month for me. But some various others as well. Some newer, some older, some MUCH older, but only one from this year. Here's a smattering:

Liz Phair ~ Liz Phair (2003)..................The Complete Liz Phair Girlysound Demos (Bootleg) (1992)
.....

Veruca Salt ~ American Thighs (1994)....Nina Gordon ~ Tonight And The Rest Of My Life (2000)
.....

Hole ~ Ask For It (EP) (1995)...............Pink Floyd ~ The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (1967)
.....

Edit: Almost forgot Chantal...I've listened to the hell outta this one for weeks now. I never get tired of her voice.

Chantal Kreviazuk ~ What If It All Means Something (2002)

Basement Jaxx have just released a single called "Good Luck" featuring Lisa Kekaula from The BellRays. Amazing.

There are two songs I'm constantly listening to, unsurprisingly, they are the two new Pet Shop Boys songs : 'Miracles' and 'Flamboyant'. The first one is a gorgeous love anthem, the second one is pure PSB electronica, among their best tunes EVER and that says something

I love all 3 of the above. This thread gets better.

Barbara Morgenstern - Fjorden (2000)

AMG weren't able to pigeonhole Barbara into a genre, so they invented 'indie electronic'. I'm struggling with it myself... I may cop-out and just tag it 'ambient-pop'.

Hmmm...fodder for research. This looks like something else I might like. I love electronica and I love the female voice (in case that wasn't painfully obvious already). Does she sing? Or only mix/create?

Another genre I never knew existed - 'micro house'. There's nothing micro about this album. Maybe if I copied it to a minidisc...

Good stuff Triton. I don't think I have any oriental stuff (Lali Puna are German, I don't know the reason behind their name).

I take it Hevia plays the pipes (either that or he's holding them for someone). Interesting.

LOL! You guys have a priceless sense of humour

BTW, José Ángel Hevia (the guy in the pic) is a Spanish artist; and his music really rocks (isn't it interesting to know that his music is entirely played on pipes?)
