CT Madness
Tis the season to be jolly and all that. And as my gift to you, I am going to give away a Custom Title. If you want one, then just post the title that you woudl love, and why. The one that i like best will win. Probably sometime before Xmas eve.
BTW, 1 entry per person only. |

Forum Jabbermouth
Because I can say in 2000 words what most people say in 20. I write posts that are excessively, incredibly, extraneously, unexpectedly, mercilessly, long. I've caused forums admins all over the world to review their policies on post length, realizing that 10000 characters was just too long after a few dozen of my 9000+ character posts made moderation more of a headache. And I use the "Preview Reply" and "Edit" buttons repeatedly to always make the spelling and grammar perfect. Maybe "Forum Neurotic" would be an option, but then again I straight-out jabber more than I spell-check. I don't know why I talk so much. I used to think it was to hear myself talk (or "see myself write"), but I don't think that's the case because I never talk to myself, and I've never kept a journal. If I'm not sure there's someone on the other end who I'll be annoying........... *erm*.......uhh, I mean "sharing with", then I don't say anything at all. If I submit a very short post (<300 words) then I really didn't have anything to say at all, and I'm just "thinking out loud". If I make a medium-length post (300-1000 words), then I'm interested, but not necessarily dedicated. If I post more than 1000 words, then I'm on a mission, and I won't stop until my goal is achieved. And speaking of goals, sometimes I don't really know what my goals are. I mean I usually do, and my posts are almost always on topic, but sometimes I'm affected by my own rambling to the point of total confusion and disassociation. It let's me know how other people might feel after reading one of my posts, but it doesn't deter me from writing over 1000 words next time. I don't sleep. I hardly eat. Whether I'm at work, at home, or outdoors, I'm logged into Winamp Forums, and I've always got something which is mostly useless to say, and always IN A VERY LONG-WINDED MANNER. I've considered running for political office, as my rambling tendencies would give me a strategic advantage in debates and filibusters. But politicians have to be able to win people's support, and my jabbering, as interesting as it may (rarely) seem, usually doesn't have that ability. I've also thought about using my powers of excessive talking to bring world peace. Imagine: I'm moderating a meeting between two world leaders who are at odds with each other. After 36 hours of non-stop talking on my part, both leaders would be "worn-down" to the point of signing whatever accord was put in front of them. Which brings me to my ability to win arguments. One of the few *real* advantages of being a natural jabbermouth is that I can win most arguments by attrition. The other person gets soooo exasperated with me after hearing me spout the equivalent of "War & Peace" that they'll usually give up out of frustration. Which brings me to how my jabbering affects relationship partners. I've never heard anyone say they left specifically because I talked too much, but I've suspected this was the reason with a few women. It's always a problem: If she talks as much as I do, we can't talk at the same time, so one of us always feels "short-changed"..... If she talks much less than I do, she probably doesn't have the tolerance to listen to everything I say. She sees me as annoying and I see her as apathetic, and the relationship ends up being doomed. Which brings me to what it was like for me growing up. I talked just as much when I was 5 years old as I do now. I was a little less mature and a little more clear-headed then than I am now, but if you knew me now and could go back in time to find my "younger version", you could easily pick me out of a group of 5 year olds. I'd be the one talking while all the others would be unconscious from exhaustion. My friends parents would say things like, "You're not bringing that 'Chris' kid over are you? Not that we don't like him, but he just never shuts up." .............hold on, approaching the post length-limit..... I'll finish this later. Just getting started..... ScorLibran: to me that was a very convincing because, although at the the third to last paragraph it seemed a little forced, IE paragraphs in your posts usully seem to flow together a lot better.
A general rule in writing (the only thing I learned this year) is that no 2 paragraphs should start the same. [edit] unless theres a point to it, but this doesn't come across like that. ¯¯¯¯Joe Bloggs____ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ |

Just trying to mix some extremely dry humor with my facts. Interesting...speaking of CT's, I just noticed my regular title changed from "Senior Member" to "Major Dude". Not sure why, though...maybe my member profile will shed some light. I didn't think my post count was particularly high. Or maybe I was too busy typing to notice... "Rudolf the Red"
Because I'm all but a commie red, and Rudolf is festive and also slightly amusing. I think I should have this title because having been a regular here for well over 3 years, having bled my heart out into these forums and tried my best to contribute, I think it's about time some of you RESPECT MA AUTHORITAH!
