I know how to fix it, go into My SQL for these forums and go to where the smileys are and add :P to the list and its fixed

(thats how to do it with phpBB, plz dont critizise me...)

Its not that hard to edit them, under Administrator account (maybe moderator accounts?), you can change the smileys, of course how the heck did we get the Winamp smiley logo in the first place?? They added smileys.

not even close for vbulletin.

it's in the admincp, therefore sawg needs to fix it. i sent him a pm on aim but i guess he didnt see it. the website contractors broke it i presume, because it was never like that 'till the site changed.

So this is the cause of it all then

We had a workaround before where you could type:
Username:Password@Proxy:Port

to avoid borkification when using smallcase:
username:password@proxy:port

This made it so you didn't have to checkmark "Disable Smilies in Post" (via: Post A Reply or Edit Post) and you could then also use other smilies in the same post.

Now they're both displayed as:
username

assword@proxy

ort

hmph

People searching the forums for the answer must now think we're a right set of tards or something.

Ok, I'll go and edit all references in all recent "proxy authentication" posts and all those linked to in TSGH etc.

Just need to add [ b ] [ /b ] tags inbetween the : and P
or edit the post and checkmark "Disable Smilies..."

No probs . . .
could've done without the extra work tho'

(or some backstage notification would've been nice)
