OKay, I've had a think about this too and I've got to agree with ShyShy, time to get old school. In no particular order;
MC5 - Kick Out The Jams ![]() The Undertones - The Undertones ![]() The Fall - The Wonderful & Frightening World of The Fall ![]() Far too many bands to list that deserved to get a mention in a threda like this. I've a feeling I'll be coming back and adding more to this list as I will not be able to list only three....its impossible. It's been said that I could start an arguement in an empty room.....I see no reason to disbelieve this. |

I do like the older stuff like the anti-nowhere league, ramones, etc. I just like newer stuff better, and then usually when it sounds different from other punk. Hence the semi-goth AFI, the punk with Synth's on Tsunami Bomb. Bad Religion is just too good to leave off.

![]() I have alot, but there are two that I really like... Millencolin - No Cigar Goldfinger - Hang-Ups ![]() Both are CDs my sister got for me about 2 years ago for Christmass... ![]() And any Ramones CD does well too...

Mega City Four
From "Who Cares Wins", 1990? Lyrics by Wiz. You think you're living in a jungle But you're locked inside a cage The prison is unyielding like your anger And the locks are seizing up with age See, want, take, everything Competition is the way you live Confrontation, that's what you respect My reaction's what you don't expect I don't wanna beat you I'm not into making you look small I'm trying to reach you I want us to break down all the walls The misunderstanding Believing the world's against you The instinct to strike out Resentment and suspicion I see you can't accept I'm no threat I won't be persuaded ignorance can win I fear nothing I am not afraid Violence won't hurt me Violence is dead Broken bones will heal And broken glass won't alter The words I put inside your head I won't be dissuaded 'Cos we are bound to fail while ignorance prevails Nos 1,2 and 3. chum. |

Millencollin and Goldfinger are pretty good. The only real Goldfinger song I have is the one off Tony Haw, Superman. I did go out and buy Pennybridge Pioneers awhile back. Damn good CD.

Complete Discography by Minor Threat -- It's not really THAT hardcore.
Singles Going Steady by the Buzzcocks -- Wow, a punk band with cool melodies, harmonies, et cetera. I'm not sure about the last one. Maybe Raw Power by the Stooges? It's more of that "proto punk" horse shit, but it's still good. I haven't heard enough of the punk classics (Kick Out the Jams, anything by Bad Brains, Pink Flag, et cetera) to make a really accurate response. |
