Any work by Eric Satie
'Gnossienne' and 'Gymnopedes' are his best known pieces - beautiful chill out music of the gentlest kind. Go for a recording that retains the simplicity of the music and doesn't try to make it more dynamic than it should be. UJ |

A Windham Hill Artist that I started listening to a few years ago. Most of her early work is piano only. Very chilling performances!

I have a compilation cd with all of the 'Gymnopédies' and 'Gnossiennes' played very slowly, it's wonderful, one could even say it was ambient music before it was even invented ![]() Very sad tunes though. |

Anything by Chopin, he's my favorite classical musician, his piano norturnes are even better then all his other stuff in my opinion
Also, a sond I absolutely have to recommend when piano is mentioned - alhtough a woman in singing (beautifully): Theatre of tragedy - A distance there is. Beautiful song, makes me dream... Mia
