Owning A Digital Camera..??

Have you found in the last cpl of years or so that owning a Digi Cam is no longer a convenience situation, but rather a situation much like owning a toaster,tv,microwave,,Etc.Etc.

It's just something you have, much like any other household item..

I've found that i take pictures of anything and everything..LOL!!

How bout it...Is the Cam a MUST!! ??

I only have a regular camera but since developing costs so much over here I rarely take pictures...when I get my paycheck for my semester break job though, I will finally buy one! I don't think it's a MUST though, just more convenient than a regular one.

(By the way, I don't own a micrwave and a toaster either, and only got a small TV because it was a Christmas gift...)

I still think that it's not that usual owning one since most of my friends don't have one, it's still kind of the expensive side for the students who don't have a job like me

Developing film is also expensive and a pain in the ass, so I've recently got a new digital camera. I like it because it's small (highly portable), has a decent resolution (3.2Mpx), and I can print my own pictures at home for the ones I want printed.

Plus the added feature of being able to automatically delete those pics that did not come out great..

That's what I'll be looking forward to most - I'm a creppy photographer but a digital camera would make practicing much more easier - and less expensive!

I'm always taking pictures with my digital camera...Usually random things like skyline scenery, sunrises/sets, witty lisence plates, things like that...Pictures of my friends/family at special occasions or at random out-of-the-blue times, cars I like that I see out on the road, my posessions (My skateboard, bass guitar, go-kart, etc.)...

Over the years, I've made digital photography a hobby without even knowing about it... Plus, with alot of the pictures, when I look back at them, they seem like memories I might forget if I hadn't taken them, so I'm usually glad to carry my digital camera everywhere I go...

I don't have a digicam. Well, I do, but it is a crappy one I got right after they started making them. I haven't got a new one yet, but I'm going to once I get a job.

I have a digital camera, has brought me very good pictures of stuff, interesting perspectives of my world.

I'm planning right after college to get a real digital camera where you can do much more than just snap a picture. The nice cameras at the high end. They work very well when it comes to getting very good pictures of action, such as basketball. I use one at my mentorship with the local newspaper.

Never bought one. I wouldn't get enough use out of one to justfy the expense.

When digicams first came out, it was something I wanted, but I wasn't sure if it was something I could justify paying for. Eventually I ended up gettin one for Christmas. I did use it a lot, but not enough to justify the cost (had I paid for it).

Later, my house was broken into and the camera was stolen, and for some reason, I just had to replace it. So I bought a $600 camera and have since hardly used it. Guess it's just something I need to have, peace of mind, etc.

I wish I had the money for the type of digital camera I want ... *cough*. But too bad I don't. I don't find myself needing a digital camera right now as it is too expensive for me and what I would like. Maybe when I go to college, I would get that as a gift or I will just buy it myself.

A high end Digi cam back in 99, is now a relative cumbersome low resolution (1.4 Mega Pix) digi cam. Has great lenses and still works though, so I suppose it isnt all bad.

Olympus D-620L (current cam)

Mi Amigo, has a nice digi cam which I desire, but I simply cant justify its expence.
