Sorry, apola, looks like the begining of the end

For the rest of.......

It's been said that I could start an arguement in an empty room.....I see no reason to disbelieve this.

Seems like a good time for the rest of them to quit.

Obscurity awaits them all.

The sad thing is, another boy band will rise in their place.

1.New Kids on the Block
2.Take That
3.Boyzone
4.Westlife
5.?

I'm guessing an irish line-up with 2 gay members.

But this is like splitting off the arm of a monster, only for the arm to regenerate with itself and form a mini-monster...If that member starts a solo project, it could only get worse...

But hey! If they can't survive as a whole, they can't survive at all, so there's a "Yay"...

Definitely.

I don't blame Westlife though, I blame the shallow 'no-life' schoolgirls that buy the stuff.

And their parents.....

I have 3 boys (all with good taste). If I had girls, they would be rock chicks at the age of 5.

My dad saved my life at the age of 10 when he trashed my concepts of "boybands" and "rap" and introduced a little something to me called "rock"...

My kids will be like Hanson!

Lol... ok, no... seriously... I will try to guide them to good... hm... quality music... but I guess they have to go through those stages themselves. And the whole journey.

Rock of course is great... but... trying to be so anti-pop and so "rock" often is just showing the other side of the same coin.
Goes with the teen rebellion and angst also. (lol, those little "goths" with their black clothes and thick eyeliner make me laugh so much sometimes)

I'd prefer if my kids had a bit of musical education, like I did. Learn to appreciate classical music a bit, and jazz.
Find the good balance.
Then they can tell what is good soulful pop music too.

Boybands, well... after a while they'll get boring too, I guess. Even for the biggest (little) fans.

But honestly... Britney alone annoys me more than all the boybands put together. (But maybe there is some other reason for that)

It's amazing how long Backstreet Boys survived!
How much was it... 8 years?

But the best thing is... when a boyband or some other meaningless dancing/singing group breaks up, they have this "greatest hits" coming out... after 2 or 3 albums... with all the singles they have had.
That kicks ass!

Only one tactic you need to know with boy bands: Brain-washing

If you know you can't be brainwashed by them, then they're not dangerous to you either.
And you can be calm.
And discuss them calmly also... or hate them calmly (if that's better, lol)

Resistance to brainwashing tactics aside, their sheer idiocy is detrimental to virtually anyone's IQ.

my daughter ( she lives with her mother) had a crush on BSB also - so I am raising my son with good fine tunes- been burning cd's for him for his computer in his room - with songs from - clan of xymox, camouflage, no use for a name, broadcast, neil young, - and some groups of his own taste like linkin park and metallica - he should be fine- he hates b..sh.. music like westlife etc.

Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music.

I'm looking forward to the day my kids get me into something.

I intend to be forever young.
