What music are you hooked on?

Have you recently started listening to a band or a type of music that you never thought you would?

I just started listening to video game remixes. I thought they would be stupid, but a lot of them are really good! Especially the ones from Ocarina of Time.

Although I've liked most types of rock music since I first started listening to music, I think recently I've been slowly converting myself to a metalhead...I've always liked metal as well, but it seems like that's mainly what I listen to lately...Been starting to like some of Metallica's older stuff (Cliff Burton era), also starting to appreciate Ozzy Osbourne a bit more, and even introduced myself to Pantera...

Suprisingly, I havn't been sold over by The Darkness yet...At least not since I've heard about Judas Priest making a comeback with Rob Halford making a re-join, and possibly a new album...Judas Priest is the best thing in metal to have come from Great Britain, and even the retro metal-styled band The Darkness just look like wannabes in compairision

"I just want to lie in my own crusty filth, eating rancid egg sandwiches, until some unfortunate paramedic has to blow down my door to find my bloated and pasty corpse wedged between the nightstand and mattress stained with Bengay and Robitussin DM." - Greg Gutfeld on sex and seniors

The Darkness are odd. It's like they decided there aren't enough hairbands nowdays and started the ultimate hair band to spite eveyone.

That said they are wierdly addicting.

Industrial synth pop. Been listening to a lot of that lately. I found a shoutcast stream that focuses on melodic tracks of the genre. Good stuff

I have been listening to a lot of dance music lately. Not sure why. I don't actually dance, but I like the music I guess.

Camouflage, Depeche Mode (early years), Clan of xymox

I play these bands so often lately that even the Mrs knows them apart already.

Each Thursday a new show on Celtica Radio with Darkwave music.

Just ended a psychadelic phase and lurching into the blues again. This was kicked started by suddenly getting the need to listen to Physical Graffitti again (a damn fine album, by the way, but I don't I need to tell nybergh that. ;-) ) Anyway, just listening a double cd of Robert Johnson tracks.

It's been said that I could start an arguement in an empty room.....I see no reason to disbelieve this.

Classical music, because I have to study for exams and it helps. In particular, Gerschwin, Rachmaninov, Vivaldi and Barber.

I'm hooked on all music except rap and dance. Dance music is great in a club with a hottie to dance with and rap - I dont know ... it's not really as much music as a vocal performance. Outside of that I listen to everything from country to blues to classical to a *little* pop an R & B.

Couldn't get to it... I think its blocked. Everytime I try to hit a stream, it crashes Winamp and Explorer. Takes about 3 minutes to recover, which it does, but I get no error messages.

What do they play?

All the artists you mentioned and a hundred more.
Most of it is from 50s and 60s or earlier.

There was a little thread recently here.

If you want to risk it again you could try entering
http://205.188.234.38:8014 in Winamp's Menu > Play > URL
or drag and drop it on to Winamp's main window.

I've always had a certain type of music stuck in my head, and I make it all up as I go along.

It's like a cross between Pink Floyd, Metallica, and Gorillaz. It's cool!

"It's like saying give a man a Les Paul guitar and he becomes Eric Clapton, and of course that's not true, give a man an amplifier and a synthesizer and he doesn't become...whoever; he doesn't become us." - Roger Waters
