Roland V-Drums

I'm quite interested in buying of their kits. But I have a full Logic/Cubase setup that I could supposedly setup as the sound module.

I could potentially save myself a lot of money by just buying the V-Drums themselves (the triggers) and having them output to the MIDI inputs on the computer.

Does anyone have any expericence with them and/or know if this is possible?
