Retro cd buyin

You guys - I have spent some bux on ebay recently. Well, actually, for the quantity cds that I have purchased, it's not bux by any means.

I have been on a kick lately of purchasing cds of albums that I grew up listening to on the radio.

Recent purchases:

Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know It's True
Vanilla Ice - To The Extreme
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Color Me Badd - CMB
Rick Astley - Forgot the title
Paul Abdul - Forever Your Girl & Spellbound

and there are some other "pop" albums I'm wanting to get.

I'm wanting to start moving into some other genres such as:

Def Leppard
Great White
Bad English
GNR
Bon Jovi
Cinderella
Poison
etc

Should I just buy the greatest hits of everyone, or are the individual albums great too?

Any opinions on this?

i would probably go with the greatest hits albums. sometimes the greatest hits albums are better than the individual albums.

Get the greatest hits for a taster of an artist but if you like an artist then often getting the albums is a good option to get all the tracks and to hear the albums as complete pieces of music (some album tracks only work well when played as part of a complete album).

Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

I don't like greatest hits compilations.

If it sucks it's wasted money.

If it doesn't I'll have to get the complete albums so it's wasted money as well.

If they've only made one or two good songs there are *cough* better ways of getting them.

Booo! Greatest hits/compilations are the anti-music!

Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Rush, all them guys, take a good ol vinyl, and play it from Side A to Side B. You get the real idea of the bands message. Grab Led Zeppelin - IV, or Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Hope this helps, lol
