you can't, read the terms agreement for the SHOUTcast Server download.
By the way I am not sure why you say you are part of the SHOUTcast support team in your sig, last I checked there was no support team. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |

bump!
Okay, I don't see anything in the license agreement that would forbid me from changing that page. As a broadcaster I should have the right to reserve parts of that information, I'm not a public company. So what's going on Nullsoft? Also, seeing as these files are being hosted on MY COMPUTER, I should have ultimate control over their content. I know I don't technically own the software, but I do own - and have control over - any content that it generates onto my computer. |

Best make your own streaming software then. You're not allowed to change it. Those are the terms you agreed to when downloading the software.

If you keep it on your own computer than there is indeed nothing wrong, the disclaimer states that you can use it for PERSONAl use. if you however publish it ( by streaming it on the net) you are in violation of the disclaimer. Nullsoft software isn't open source and that is why you can not change the status page without written permission from Nullsoft. |

where is nullsofts technical support? and i do not mean winamp admins or moderators either.
Oh wait it doesnt exist...is that because nullsoft dont exist anymore? if thats the case then the copyright is nonsense since it belongs to a company that is no longer here....however more importantly i have seen plenty of broadcasters redesign their admin pages to make them look less like a 5 year old made them..i doubt seriously that nullsoft gave them permission. And why would nullsoft disallow people to redisgn their crap looking admin pages..isnt that really petty? |

sorry, nullsoft does exist. Just a owned susidiary of AOL/Time Warner since late '99. Copyrights still apply. If you would like to question this further feel free to contact the AOL lawyers for clarification.
Those that modify their webadmin do so at their own risk. If we see it we can ban you from the yp because everything about the page is suspect, if you don't care about the yp then happy editing. If you really want this type of ability I would suggest you use Icecast. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |
