Anyone know of him? The guy is a genius. We played the third movement of the symphony in B flat in Wind Ensemble this year. It was one of the best pieces i've ever played.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.

I don't know the symphony in B flat, only the one in E flat and the symphony "Mathis der Maler" which is probably his most well known piece.

He's a bit underrated because a lot of his later (post 1945) work sounds fairly similar and he didn't fit in with the post-war modernist mainstream (12-tone etc.).

Oh, and it's Hindemith!
