Hehe, more mad pimping there.

5.04 appears to be mostly bug fixes. New features so far are minimal. It might be a while until it is out, the AOL guys have taken the Nullsoft guys hostage, or something, so I have heard.

A lot of the fixes you can get by just installing wa5update (Check the stickies).

All of the coders are working on other things at the moment, 5.04 could be a little while off.

Justin may well be working on Winamp again soon, as a contractor, since everyone else is working on other things.

WA 5.03a + Update Pack + New JTFE = WA 5.04

There's an Update Patch sticky in both WA-D and WA-TS.
What more do you/they want?

Maybe in a week or so we might have some more definite news...

amano, you're part right since that's how 5.04 is looking to be plus bug fixes n stuff. as DJ Egg pointed out things are not ready and since people are away/busy with work/life/etc it's going slowly.

I hate to keep milking this, but I hope that among that "stuff" is an automatic brightness and constrast control, in which Winamp will automatically determine the best brightness level of the video (any format) being played.

No, it isn't.
That's why it's still listed (and uncommented on) in the wishlist sticky.

It also depends on the video format in use, and whether the DirectShow filter in use already has this option built-in (c/o File Info (Alt+3) > double click filter for config)

And it also depends on the quality of the video, your graphics card (and config) and your monitor (and whether or not you're too lazy to use its brightness/contrast controls)

But yeah, maybe one day...
but it's definitely not top priority.

Thank you for this dll, I'm currently testing it and it seems to work.
Though it does not handle docked child windows properly (as warned in the readme file), I think it's good enough for me

That's a feature request, not a bug.
Unless there's something wrong with your installation, tooltips are used if the view/playlist name extends beyond the boundaries. But yeah, this means you need to use mouseover to actually see them.

We did actually ask for an extension for the left/right pane vertical separator, because iirc, it used to extend beyond half way under Winamp 2.9x...
Hmm, I'm not even sure why this was changed :/
