problems loading .pls with mozilla

I have this problem with anyone clicking on any of the tune-in .pls links on my site using a mozzila browser:

http://www.planetsoulnetwork.com

Instead of winamp playing the stream they are getting this in their browser:

[Playlist]
File1=http://stream01.prolocation.net:9500
Length1=-1
File2=:http://stream02.prolocation.net:9500
Length2=-1
Numberofentries=2
Version=2

anyone know where the problem is? Is it my html page or is it a problem at the server level? thanks!

Looks like their site has MIME issues. (Mozilla goes by MIME types and not extensions). You can save the file and double click on it.

What version of Mozilla are you running? Are you actually running Mozilla or something else (Firefox)? Update to 1.7 if you haven't.

Check the preferences for Helper Applications and assign .pls the MIME of audio/mpegurl and have it open in Winamp.

(It's been a while since I use the actual Mozilla Suite)

Do other .pls files (like the ones from Shoutcast) load properly?

yeah those links work fine for them. I have to download mozilla to duplicate the error myself but I've had complaints from 5 differnt people already. I know its a problem with the MIME type but I'm not sure how to correct it. I got this email also:

The planetsoulnetwork.com website is serving the .pls file as a mime type of plain text while the shoutcast website is serving it as audio/x-scpls. Therefore Mozilla will display the file at planetsoul as plain text while the mime type handler for the audio/x-scpls mimetype is winamp in your case.

I would email the webmaster at planetsoul and tell him his mistake. Just a simple header change and it will be sorted out. Mozilla is just following standards.

simple header change? not sure what hes refering to there...
