Shoutcast crashing.
First post so be gentle
I've done a search and cant find anything like my problem but please feal free to redirect me if this has already been answered.I've got shoutcast running on my file-server/media machine. Its a 2.8c, with a gig of ram and a big bunch of hardrives, all except the boot drive on a highpoint raid array. I use shoutcast on a line in to feed radio onto my local lan which works very well. The problem I have is when I write anything to disk (either the boot drive or the array) it breaks up the stream and shoutcast doesn't/can't reconnect automatically, I have to kil the server and restart winamp for the stream to work again. Any ideas how to solve this? |

Its raid level 5 but I know although its a hardware card the raid is done in the driver so its still software really.
The Shoutcast server and winamp dsp are both installed to the boot-drive which is not part of the raid. I am using the drivers from out of the box, I'll check to see if a newer one is available. |
