My friend is having troubles connecting to my DNAS. I can connect to it fine, and people can listen so I figure it's not my linksys router(BEFW11S4).

The DNAS is disconnecting you because it isn't being sent data. What input are you using in the DSP?

If WinAmp: Make sure that you're only playing valid MP3s.

If Soundcard: Make sure you have your mixers configured right.

That's how I saw it, but it's telling her that she's timing out when trying to connect.

That "could" happen if trying to play WMA's in winamp input mode.

So, she most likely has soundcard selected for the input device?

What I was saying, If she was trying to play wma files through the winamp selection that would cause that behavior, soundcard input can play both mp3 & wma, but preffered file type is mp3 in winamp input mode, unless you plan on live Dj'ing, then you are forced to use soundcard input mode.
