Know how to rip with Winamp?

Anybody know how to rip audio cd's with Winamp?
A friend of mine got me setup and showed me how but, when I try to rip the files are 0 kb in size.
Obviously, I must have missed something.

iii) Note: If you installed Sonic CD Burning/Ripping Support, it is strongly recommended that you reboot after installation and before using Winamp. The one in bold may be most useful.
