Forum bug
Either I'm blind, or there's no forum for posting forum bugs / questions / tech help.
But anyway, for some reason now if you click quote on a post containing a quote, the quotes get deleted. -Stu |

i would suspect that is a feature, seeing as quotes in quotes in quotes get's pretty nasty.

Yeah, the denial of "quote-in-quote" is intentional.

I vaguely remember it was a conscious decision to remove quotes within quotes.
The decision was made after someone within some sort of game thread started quoting multiple levels and creating unsightly HTML hourglasses. |

yeah, you can of course manually type in the bbcode yourself. both the quickreply, and the full reply allow bbcode to be entered manually, as well as via the wysiwyg interface.

when you quote a post, it will ignore any existing quotes
but for some reason it will look for the FIRST begin- and end-quote tags only so everything between the first begin- and end-quote-tag will be ignored in this case there will be 5 [/quote]'s left (since I typed those myself) the first of those end quotes will be used as the NEW end quote (since you quoted my post) the other four end quotes remain... at the end (after my edits) is the actual NEW end quote, but that one is unusable, since an earlier end quote is used |
