ShoutCast and StanaPhone (voip) - echo situation.
Hello there. Nice to meet you all!
![]() I've setup shoutcast with winamp and I love it. However, I need some help... some ideas. I have my mixer set as "Wave Out Mixer" so I broadcast every sound my computer makes. The reason I do this is so I can broadcast phone calls I make using a "software internet phone". Okay, all works well but the people I call hear themselves "echo" back because my mixer is set so they hear whatever I hear (I hear them, so they hear themselves). So is there any way I can broadcast phone calls.. or conversations over skype without the people hearing themselves "echo" back? Thanks for your time. |

Hmm....I havent tried to broadcast calls over Shoutcast yet, but I have been attempting to create phone through my HTPC(Home Theatre PC connect to my TV). What I found that since I am using regular speakers, my friends/family can also hear themselves in the background. I was thinking this doesnt happen when I talk with and friends/family using a regular speaker phone. So, when I get back on working on my phone through TV project(just audio) again I am going to look into maybe the new Xbox Live speaker phone hardware just released or something similiar. Well thats my two cents. Cheers, Paul
