Optical Mouse Problem..
Okay, I have this Dell optical mouse, and every once in a while the mouse will jerk up or down once. What the hell is going on? I had this same problem with a Microsoft Optical mouse on another computer. Is this just how Optical mouses are, or is there a way I can eliminate this? This is really annoying during FPS games, because I randomly start spinning around in circles really fast.

Dell probably just repackages the Microsoft optical mouse, so you probably have the same mouse on both computers.

Make sure its plugged in all the way and make sure you are using a nonfiber type surface. Check for this by using paper as a mousepad.

try a more reflective mousepad.
