Unwanted Noise

got a question with my winamp. when i play an mp3, i get lots of interference, as in background hissing or bleed through(which is impossible in the digital world). when i play my windows media player or music match player, it plays noise free. why is this? what can i do to fix this?

Its probably because your using either Direct Sound instead of Waveout, or waveout instead of direct sound. Switch the one you are using and see if it helps. On my old computer one of the two causes a lot of hiss, and the other is silent.
