Editing Station Description

Occasionally, I like to edit my station description to advertise special upcoming shows. The problem with doing this is that as soon as I type in the description field, it disconnects my station. It's gotten to the point where I'll type out what I want to say on "notepad", and then quickly cut and paste it to the description field. It still disconnects, but only for the 1 or 2 seconds it takes me to hit "reconnect".

My question is: Is there a way to disable it from disconnecting when changing the station description? -OR- Is there a better way to advertise specials instead of using the station description field?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

This dissconnecting and then reconnecting will not do any major damage. It just means your listeners will hear a 1/2 second hic-cup and then the broadcast will continue.

There is no way (as far as I know) of stopping it from disconnecting, it disconnects and then reconnects as a way of refreshing what you typed in so it can send it to shoutcast.com.

About to launch an internet radio station after an almost 10 year break. I don't suppose much has changed in that time.
