I was just wondering if there was any to stream a URL over your own stream.Like if I wanted to steam the stuff that http://123.456.789 was streaming could I do that and stream it over my own stream?

Not the right forum for this question, but:
http://www.shoutcast.com/support/doc...vlayout=normal Put the address and port of the server you want to stream (called relaying) into the appropriately marked Relay fields. |

Hi everyone:
Be sure you have the owner's permission BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING THIS If you don't, you could get into some serious trouble AND run the risk of getting the stream owner in trouble too. I hate to sound like an asshole BUT.... Just something to think about. ![]() Cheers for now & Happy Holidays

allowrelay: no is a line in the config, something like that. Just an extra. Originally posted by yeshuawatso :...get Nullsoft to [accept] new moderators? ... election? ... If Inedible Bulk is the candidate, then I give my vote. |

He wanted help setting up the relay, not asking for permission. Please be aware "nja_652" that you cannot 'relay' any type of content. The only content that can be relayed using a Shoutcast server is of course content from another Shoutcast server. If you like someones video but it is coming from a Windows Media server, you are out of luck. If however you are wishing to setup a relay of another Shoutcast server all you will need is a Shoutcast server that has been properly configured and is running. The Shoutcast server will connect to the Shoutcast server that is providing the source and rebroadcast it to your viewers. More information on how to setup a Shoutcast relay can be found on this forum (in the tutorials and by using the search function to find similar posts) and also at the Shoutcast website.
