Max amount of users???

I used my personal computer to test out how shoutcast works. I got it up and running. I'm running a super slow and old computer with cable internet.

If I want to stream clearly to thousands of users (1000+), how much bandwith would I need? Would I just need alot of bandwith, or would I also need good CPU overall, sound devices, etc?

Can you give me specifics? Like t1 will allow X # of users.
If I do need a good CPU, can you give me some specs? Processer/speed/ram, etc... Same with sound card?

Thanks!
