Streaming directly from server
Is it possible to stream directly from the server without having to use winamp to connect to the server port 8000 and upload?
We are about to set up a station that will be running Linux. We would like to have unattended streams playing while we are at work during the day. We'd like streams to play from the /content directory (and still be able to use the default stream link http://mydoman.com/listen.pls) The stream will cycle through whatever is in the content directory. Is this possible? If we do a live mix show, then we can connect to the server via the dsp client. I am also looking for php resources to do display content similar to what friskyradio.com does on their site. |

You could use an Xmms plugin to stream a playlist.

No its not possible to stream as if it were live radio purely using the server.
If you are hosting the server on linux, search for sc_trans. If you're using Windows - winamp is very likely your best option. |
