No this is bloody aggrivating...

all UnConeD's ape's render's and trans's crash avs and winamp...

*sigh*

The ones all crash in WinXP. The integrated ones (multiplier, colorreduction, channel shift) should be removed if you still have them in .ape form.

Aggrivating, sure, but I've gotten by without them this far. Not to say that they aren't useful, g-d knows they look good.

One way I've found to use them is to begin a new preset, and then hit the [+] button to insert a preset containing the ape inside of the new one. So that way, the preset containing the ape is in an effect list. Then simply delete everything but the ape, and then you can use it if you want. Sure, you can't customize it... that is, if there is anything to customize(I have XP as well so I don't know what you get to see when you click on it), but at least you can use it.

But just out of curiosity, UnConed, why is it exactly that they crash in XP? ... other than the fact that XP sucks.
