Go to My Computer, right click your ipod, eject.

First of all, GREAT plugin. This is what I was waiting for. Finally no more crap like Itunes. Thanks very much.

Now, I used version 1.13 with Winamp 5.08e and everything worked well.
But after upgrading to 1.20 I couldn't eject the Ipod (40GB) anymore. Only Closing Winamp and stopping the service via XP helped.

Now, I use 1.13 again and I get this error message. Something about that there is not a suitable medium in the station.. ? (sorry, it's in dutch)

I will remove winamp completely, do a registry clean, a new winamp install and then I'll try 1.13 again. Will report here

Update
One magic windows restart did the trick, however I can't explain it. It works fine now with version 1.14!

The same is happening here since upgrading to 1.20. I usually eject using the systray icon. I've been using ml_ipod for quite some time (I used to be called Carno) so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing-- I tried all available eject options. To eject the ipod I had to close Winamp altogether. The message Windows gives me is "cannot eject at this time, please try again later."

The built-in eject button within the ml_ipod screen doesn't work for me. I must use the windows' eject button.

yea but the only probelm is when i do eject from my computer, then try to play the songs from my ipod, the songs won't play. it skips from one song to the next and so on... is it because the ok to dissconnect isn't coming up on the ipod screen?

With 1.20 if you close Winamp, you can then eject your ipod. For the time being this is the only way to eject the ipod. Don't disconnect until the ipod says it's ok to.

My MLpod eject works

I have a version 1.3 15g Ipod and 5.09 Winamp Pro with
MLPod V 1.20. Couldn't eject at first, so I attempted stopping IPod service in services.msc. This had no affect so I restarted the service and started looking at options in Winamp. Under "Option", "Preferences", "File Types" - disable Winamp Agent. This also had no affect, but I left it disabled. Looking at start-up entries in the registry using Regseeker from Hover Desk http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm , I noticed IPod and Winamp were both listed as start-up programs even though they were not visible anywhere else. I deleted both entries from the registry using Regseeker and my eject button now works. I don't know which of the actions or combination corrected the problem, but I am very happy with the results. Thanks for all your all your hard work. Winamp is great.

Ok, maby it isnt fixed, the eject was working perfectly until I started adding playlists, now it wont eject again. Sorry for the excitement, I realy thought I stumbled onto something. Maby it was working because I just reformatted my Ipod and had a clean slate to work with. Its still a great piece of software!

sinc ratings

in options, preferences, ipod support, general tab, I turned off sinc ratings-/disconnect, left connect enabled and the eject button worked. If I uncheck both connect and disconnect, it doesnt save the settings, but it does if I just uncheck disconnect. Its late, I'll look at it some more tomorrow, at least it works again for now. Good Night!

No definite fix?

Hello,

I've been an iPod and Winamp user for 4 years, and only discovered this great plugin. Thank you for putting these two together!

Been having lots of issues successfully ejecting my iPod with 1.20. I read the posts here.

What i understand is that the eject button in winamp should not be used, that i should first close winamp and then eject my ipod through 'my computer' or the 'safely remove hardware' button in the task bar.

Am i correct ?

Thanks in advance.

you are correct.

Yep, That seems to be the best way. From what I see, eveytime you upload a new playlist to your Ipod and it does its update thing before exiting, it knocks out the eject button in Winamp. I've been messing around with trying to make the Winamp button work, but havent hade any consistent success. So until 1.21 comes out just eject in the system tray after closing winamp.

Well, what i was suggesting works only when i dont touch playlists. As soon as i upload a playlist to my ipod, than even what i suggested didnt work and it becomes impossible to eject the ipod at all, which implies that when i unplug it, i have to restore it... Help!

Keep up the good work guys, I love this thing.
