empty filenames when I have no tag

Hi,
some of my mp3s have no ID3v1 and no ID3v2 tags. In winamp the mp3s are shown as the filenames but on my ipod there is nothing shown and I can hear/use them (they exist). They just have no names and I want to change this. What can I do? Are there any tools to copy the filenames into the ID3v1 or ID3v2 tags, if they are empty?

mfg

P.s.: By using iTunes I do not have this problem, but I want to use the winamp plugin

Add all your mp3s to the media library. Don't worry, this won't fuck with anything.

Did you read my post?
In the media library there are the mp3s ok but on my ipod the titles of the mp3s which have no tags are empty

There are dozens (if not hundreds) of mp3 taggers out there. A Google search would have saved you some time. I use an old, discontinued version from the guys at TFM in Romania (only supports ID3v1.1 tags).

I suggest doing a bit of research. 10 minutes of looking around would solve your problem. All of the programs I've seen will copy the filename into any ID3 field you want. Many can also take data from the directory structure to fill in tags.

But bear in mind that this isn't a problem with the ml_iPod plugin, this is a problem with your shitty mp3's.

To make up for dissing your mp3's (sorry, but it had to be done), here's the Google link to find yourself a tagger:

That's not bad but it doesn't copy the filenames into the tags

Edit: I fixed this problem using some tagger-tools.

P.s.: This plugin ruls very nice work

Wasabi, I think that some of austinpowers files did in fact have no tags at all, and that is what caused his problem.

And when I said "shitty", I meant any compressed song without metadata (tags). No offense was meant. What I do to to avoid this is never put audio into my music library folders until it is properly named and tagged. This means I have a directory that I use just to temporarily store songs until they are properly setup.
