How can I view a Mac ipod on a pc
Hello all,
I have a mac formated 30g color ipod and I want to be able to view the content on a PC. I don't want to remove the content so I am wondering if anyone knows of a utility to make the drive readable on a PC? thanks, -Rhett |

There are software packages that allow a Windows PC to vies Macintosh drives. I presume one of these will work.
BTW, this isn't exactly an ml_iPod question. I would expect that the forums at Apple or another iPod site to cover this better than we can. |

When I had a 2nd-generation iPod formatted for Mac I used a software called Xplay/MacDrive (was $40, now $60) to access my iPod. It allows PC's to read Mac drives. I quit using Xplay when ml_ipod arrived, but with Xplay installed I could still use a Mac-formatted iPod with Winamp. When Xplay wanted me to pay again to upgrade to a newer version I quit using it & formatted my iPod for Windows. I don't think there's any free software out there for this. A few moments ago I searched and I didn't find anything, but I didn't try very hard or search for very long. The only freeware I found is called Gemulator but it looks like it's designed for Windows 95. Good luck.
