Does the iRiver have a wheel like the iPod does? I haven't seen one with a wheel yet, so I'd say that in itself would keep me from buying an iRiver. Go to the store and play with an iRiver to see if you can live without the wheel. The bios may also be better or worse, but that's a personal preference.
The iRiver also does not support any of the higher quality audio codecs such as .aac (.m4a) or .ogg. As great as .mp3's are, they really suffer when it comes to high frequencies. Windows Media (.wma) isn't much better. |

Stick with the ipod. It's the best mp3 player out there. (It also has the most available accessories.)
