Playlists show up in ML but not on iPod
This morning I couldn't 'eject' my iPod. I tried through WinAmp as well as Windows. Wouldn't work...
I tried rebooting and it seemed that I lost all my playlists, album lists and about half my actual songs. I rebooted the PC, re-installed ml_iPod 1.2 and 're-booted' the iPod (held down Menu and the center button for 6 secs). Reconnected and was able to 'eject' properly through WinAmp. Everything was showing back up on the iPod except the Playlists. But.. the Playlists still show up in ML when I'm connected to WinAmp...? I've tried renaming a list in WinAmp, I've tried creating new Playlists... nothing takes... nothing shows up on the iPod. Help....? |

Lot's of people reporting this:
iPod eject thread Please search a bit before posting. Or at least read the first page of posts to see if there is a current thread on whatever you are after. |

I did see that thread and read through it. But my 'bug' isn't that I couldn't eject.
My 'bug' is that as a result I've lost some 2000 songs and all my playlists....except, I apparently didn't really lose them.. they're still in there (I think..). I can see them and play them when hooked to ml_iPod but they don't show up on the iPod itself. That issue wasn't addressed in the 'Can't Eject iPod' string. |

I also lost all of the songs from my daughter's ipod mini when I installed winamp with the ipod plug-ins and added the songs from the ipod to the winamp music library. If any one can tell me how to get the songs back on the ipod I would appreciate it!! My daughter doesn't know I lost them yet (well they're still in the ML). Thank you.

'Sub w' writes in the 8th post on that thread about how songs are missing from the iPod after this eject problem. 'dreadknott' mentions that everything was fixed by a reboot until they tried working with playlists. That thread doesn't seem to have an answer for your problem, but it has at least 2 similarities, the eject problem, and a missing files/playlists problem. |
