Crash every time I sync to ipod

I have a Dell computer, Win98, with a new 20GB Click-wheel ipod. I am using MLIpod to drive the Ipod.

I just found Winamp after struggling with Real Player. Got all my media into Winamp, but everytime I sync to the ipod it is crashing after syncing about 2/3 of the songs. It does not consistently crash after the same song being synced, so no pattern there. It is pretty consistently about 2/3 of the way through the list however.

Suggestions?

I would recommend making sure that you have the latest USB and chipset drivers for your computer.

Does this crash happen only with synch? Does a manual transfer from the media library also crash?
