Error 10060

new to forum and reading like crazy and yes, i did do a search on this topic but found the answers difficult to understand or better yet, the solution seemed to elude me
i had no problems connecting to shoutcast server before and have used shoutcast for some time now
today, when i tried to connect, i continue to get ERROR 10060 and it will not connect
i have not changed anything in my settings and cannot figure out why this is happening
as i mentioned, i did read through forums so any additional information or who to contact would be grateful
thanks in advance to any and all who reply

i changed server IP on encoder from my IP address to localhost and then it connected no problem although it used to be my personal IP address and that connected fine as well although now it does not
i then changed my statistics relay to localhost for host and kept the password the same as what is in the read me file but it doesn't make sense how i never changed anything in settings and it ran off my IP address and now won't even connect, please advise
do i need to change anything in winamp under preferences? will station open in windows media player? thanks again in advance

error 606-at least one relay is using a local network IP address. Please use an internal IP address.
why am i getting that error, although connected now, in event log area??
i HAVE checked forums for answers and sticky tabs as well but have not found anything i understand or can use

How do you "know" what your IP is? How are you finding it out?

All I can say is the IP may not be what you think it is now -- every reboot of a PC could give it a new IP unless you have taken steps (config a static IP) to make sure that it always has the same IP.

ipconfig /all can tell you what the PCs IP is right now -- do not use a web utility to determine a PCs IP.

Every PC has 127.0.0.1 (localhost) but that pseudo IP just means "myself." It cannot be used (won't work) to communicate past the local PC.
