cant connect and drivin me mad LOL
OK guys, I`m usually the "I will get there eventually" kinda person, but I`m stuck to no end, so I thought I`d come on here and ask the experts. I have had a shoutcast server running before on a localhost, with no problems, and know relatively how it all works..
Ok so thats the good point .. The bad point is, I`m trying now to get it running through my linux server. I have uploaded the relevant files, set the sc_serv.conf file as I saw neccesary, and run the sc_serv file from shell using the ./sc_serv command.... Open winamp with the dsp plug (latest version of both), and enter port 8000 which is what I have in the conf, www.djjanos.co.uk which is the domain I have the server running on, and the password I set in the conf file, and it won`t connect ..... Something else I can try?????? It`s drivin me insain LOL |

Just a question - your linux server... is it by any chance firewalled in some way? Could it be possible that ports are being blocked? (like if it's a server at a data center, for example)

Good thought ... is a friends server so I will find out .. I do believe it is at a data centre though, so this may be the case
