How Do You Know You Are Transmitting?

Please tell me how do I know that I am transmitting?
I can see the status changing bytes...

The other question I have is:
How can you stop the connection timeout in the HOUTcast...
I am behind a firewall.

Thank You guys.

If the Shoutcast DSP streaming app shows you're sending data that's a good start. Then check the DNAS log files to make sure there are no errors. If not, you're on.

Get a buddy to connect, ask him if he hears the song, then talk and ask him if he hears you.
