Shoutcast On Satellite
Hello, I have a sat internet connection from xplornet. I got 500kbps up and 2mbps down. I have one real public ip. Ok here is what is going on,, I got my shoutcast windows server setup on one pc. all the port forwadings have properly been setup so people can listen to my station. I know It works I give out the ip and people can listen fine. But when the server tries to list my station on shoutcast its got a hard time. I keep getting this meesage serval times then it will connect for a while ... then ill get the error message again and again then it adds my station to shoutcast for a while.. Its a loop like this... tells me it cant find my station and that i shoulf check my firewall etc..(extended error 404) What I think it is is my high letency ping times from beeing on the satelite averigeing at 500ms .... it works fine just takes about half a second for the connection to be made and I think something is timming out to fast.. is there a setting on my end that I can change... thanks

If you are running the actual stream server locally and trying to pipe it out over the satellite connection you are likely experiencing connection saturation - in short you run out of bandwidth and the Shoutcast directory cannot connect properly. 500ms would not sustain a stable stream connection for long.
