Ad inserting, commercials and station ID

Im using the shoutcast dsp plugin to transmit some large wav files (approx 1.5 hours each).
My question is if I want to insert station IDs every 15 minutes, do I have to cut these large wav files into 15 min fragments, rename xx1, xx2, and make a playlist with the station IDs inbetween???
Are there any alternatives or..??

If the files are that large you have no choice but to edit them down if you intend on inserting content inbetween.
