Backup file is b0rked

Hello world,

even if i did a research on the forums, i just can't find a correct answer to my problem.

So, here we go: I have setup a backup file when my ADSL connection is fucked up. It's actually working as i tought, but not exactly. When the .mp3 file is not blank (i mean, with no TOTAL silence), it's like a rollercoaster for the listenners. It's skipping the file, going reward, going forward. I have checked that it's exactly the same bitrate etc... but still nothing to do, it's just not working as long as i have no TOTAL blank in the file.

If anyone of you has an idea... please tell me .

Regards,
Geoffrey.

If the file is vbr (Variable Bit Rate) That might cause problems. USe software like Audacity to make sure you encode the MP3 at exactly the same bit rate as your stream. That's all I can think of - if that's not it, I'm stumped.

It's exactly the same file, same bitrate. I tried on an other stream and it's working perfectly.

Another question... the backup function seems to work ONLY when you shutdown correctly your encoder. If you remove the rj45 cable for exemple, it will just do a Buffer 0%.

It's atleast the case for me, can someone confirm?

Regards,
Geoffrey.
