I think that i have my ip address & think that the listen link that they give me is correct which is
http://141.153.209.13:8000/listen.pls , i got the ip off the site www.whatismyip.com hope this is corrected , but anyways i still cant get listeners i send the link & it doesnt work & its connected & everything ...thank you

im getting this on my GUI as an error yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<02/21/06@13:15:13> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 141.153.209.13:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out).)

does the url on the shoutcast source matter & if it does what do i put there cause i have nothing there

what is myip will show you your outside address and because you are getting NAK errors, your router/firewall is not allowing ports 8000 and 8001 through it.

What is the IP address of your PC?

ipconfig /all |more will show you from the command prompt.

If your shoutcast server is running on a private IP address it will not show up on the yp directory.

one thing i really dont know what u just told me there cause i dont anything about this just know about music thats it & just to let u know to maybe continue to help my problem is that i have a router but not directly to my laptop, the router is conected to the computer in that other room of my house ...........

how computer or laptop is running the shoutcast server at your house? That is the IP address that you need to forward ports 8000, 8001 to from your internet router (internet sharing device).

The NAK error is the key, shoutcast can not talk directly to your server and / or vice versa.

the shoutcast source for some reason its running off my laptop right now & connected the only thing is that i get that error which is [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)

yes. NAK means your laptop can not be seen by shoutcast

so again what is the laptop's ip address, not the outside address?

I bet your laptop is connected to a router or access point that does not have the correct ports forwarded over.
