first, let me say that you guys are doing a fabulous job. winamp just keeps getting better and better. (except for the inclusion of movie playing abilities; I watch a lot of avi's/mpg's and winamp will never be better than MPC or ZoomPlayer IMHO).

My suggestions:

1) the amount you can skip should be changeable. this is for the shortcut where you press Left/Right. (right now it's set 5 secs)
the number is too short for me and might be too long for others. so why not allow us to configure it ourself. This is the most important adjustment for me since I have a lot of MP3z that are more than an hour long. if there's a way already to do this, please tell me.

2) bring back the small window that allows you to select different playlists in the PL editor. as well, let us use CTRL-click to combine different playlists in one window.

3) the above can be done with ML Editor, which brings us to, why don't you just combine the two editors?? seems a waste, since each seems to have features the other lacks. or just make an optional third window that combines both, for those of you whose system can't bear the strain

4) there should be a shortcut to delete (physically remove selected files) in the PLE. maybe Alt-Delete

5) add more attributes that we can choose to see in the PLE, including actual filename, bitrate, filesize

6) I think Yamipod (??) allows a feature where it will find and download the lyrics to your MP3z for you. is there a way for winamp to do this and then display the lyrics whenever the mp3 starts playing (in another window but this one for text)

7) when enqueuing a bunch of files from Windows Explorer/any folder view, is it possible for the enqueue to follow the order that was in Explorer? right now, seems like the files are just loaded in an unexplicable random order. at least load them alphabetically or something.

8) can we get a feature to rename the filename according to the ID3 info? we'll be able to choose how & what parts in the config.

9) in the Jump To File window, can you allow us to create a PL from the displayed files, even if it's a temporary one (this would have to work in conjunction with #2 where we can have multiple playlists)

10) Allow us to rename the filename of our playlists in the PLE.

hope you'll take some of these under advisement.

7. Works fine here. Depends on your OS and whether the drive is formatted in NTFS or FAT32 (For FAT32, Windows sends files to apps by FAT32 Allocation / Date Created, as opposed to by filename with NTFS)

9. Right-click in the JTF results and select "Save Current Search"

#5 looks massively complicated. would be easier for most of us if there was just a bunch of checkboxes for filesize, filename, etc.

as for the lyrics thing, I can't seem to get the latest minilyrics to work with 5.2. has anyone else gotten it to work? it just hangs for me and seems to be taking a bunch of my CPU in the meanwhile. haven't tried any other lyrics program.

#10 I meant allow us to rename the actual file names within PLE, but that's already been covered.

Also, the site might want to fix your plugin section. right now, it's so convoluted as to be useless. most of the time you don't even know what the plugin does unless you click on it. unless you think the function of 'Bart's plugin' is easy to guess.

Why you can't put full (Since 1.20) "What's New.txt" in winamp 5. I Think it is interesting to read about full history of Winamp.

more abilities to configure the "now playing" view in the media library in order to use web-services from last.fm.
