Question Strummin' with the Devil: The Southern Side of Van Halen

Anyone hear about this CD that's coming out? I didn't realize that David Lee Roth himself was signing on two of the songs, and when I listened to the clips I was like "this sounds like david lee roth..." lol. the cd seems really cool, ill definitely get a copy.

It reminds me when Dolly Parton did a bluegrass remake of "Shine" by Collective Soul.

Good question. I heard it on one of the digital music channels on my cable system. My dad would never believe that I sometimes check in on the bluegrass scene! I believe it came out in 2005, but that's all I remember reading about it. I'll have to check into it.

Well I got the CD the other day and have been listening to it quite a bit since I got it. I like it a lot. It's definitely not one of those "throw away" tribute cds. You can tell a lot of people put a lot of thought and care into this cd, even the artwork is great.
