Everything seems fine, but it isn't

so i set up the DNAS and DSP according to the instructions posted here, i checked that the port is open, and the GUI looks like others that have been posted. But when i got a friend to test the stream, he can only access the admin page, he can't actually get the stream.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

EDIT: it seems that windows media player was the issue, the stream works fine with winamp. apparently the quality is crappy though, is there anyway to fix this?

up the bitrate and it will sound better but make sure you have the bandwidth to carry multiple listeners or you may need to look at hosting..

upstream/bitrate = max listeners
