Port Forwarding..
I have tried to port forward, and after spending like 45 mins reading guides about what it is actually about, I tried looking for my Modem on Portforward.com..
And guess what! It's not there! And this whole thing with my radio not working is really starting to annoy me... ![]() So if anyone knows how to do a bit of Port Forwarding on a Motorola - SB500i then please tell me.. Or just give me links to other sites that may be of help. Please and Thankyou now.. Samie! |

read the manual and call their support to see if it can even support port forwarding.
There isnt shit on the internet about this modem that tell me anything about it! other than it is a motorol surfboard cable modem. If its a cable modem and not a cable modem with router you will not have portforward on a modem only product (I used google) If your ISP provided the modem call them, some ISP do not allow users to configure the modem and read and sticky posts in this forum until your eye pop out. ~ D ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |

The SB5100 is just a modem, just a gateway. There is no internal router, therefore no ports to forward on it.
What's hooked up to the modem, though? |

What's your IP address on the computer?
(Start > Run > CMD > OK > ipconfig <enter>) |

Well, your ISP isn't putting you behind a NAT or a proxy, so unless they are blocking the port, I doubt it is them.
You have some firewall running on your system still, probably. |

I have Norton, and Zone alarm, but I have allowed WinAmp and shoutcast etc, and opened the ports im using, and I keep erroring..
Thought it might be fixed with a bit of Port Forwarding.. And now I don't think it will ever work..

No it doesn't. If you do that when hooked up to your modem your cxonnection will no longer work.
