Media Library Menu Save!!!!

Wish i may, i wish i might... i wish Winamp would make a menu save tonight! ah ha! Now i have your attention.

Do you think it could be possible to throw in a save feature for the smart view settings in the Media Library Menu, Reason: I'm an organised freak, that likes to format once a month, and then set-up all my programs again, alas i get to the Smart view settings and i have to do it all over again... and beleive me there is a lot of added smart view links, all neat and tidy.. but it is a pain to keep re-doing it.
Call me lazy... i just thought it would be a good idea! and maybe it'll make me feel good to know that i have contributed to winamp!

Idea: Smart View - Smart Save (Save the Smart View Settings)

Cheers,
Peter Rosel

P.S. If you do decide to make this could you please send me a personal email ta.

Ummm... ever tried to save "gen_ml.ini" in the Plugins folder and all files beginning with "met..." in the Plugins\ml folder?

Should do the trick.

If you want you can even save your whole Winamp folder to restore it after a windows reinstallation. All settings and plugins should be there again - it's magic!

Note that the sonic engine will not be installed by simply restoring a "Winamp" folder, but here's what you can do:

(0) Configure Winamp on your present windows installation. Make it as comfortable as your want, including smart views, playlists etc.
(1) Save a copy of the whole "Winamp" folder onto another harddisk oder USB Stick or whatever.
(3) Format your HD as you want and reinstall Windows as you want.
(4) Then install Winamp by using the official installer, including the Install of Sonic Engine!
(5) Restart PC
(6) Now delete whole Winamp Folder and replace it with your previously created copy.

Works perfectly.
