radio and bitrate

ciao, my name is antonello and just arrived in the forum. Is 2 days that i am using shoutcast. Is it possible to get radios with high bitrate like 192-256 and 320? almost all the radio have very low bitrate and sound is not very good.
can you give me indications about? thanks friends.

If you are a broadcaster, then read the documentation that came with your DNAS. If you are a listener, search http://yp.shoutcast.com and select a high bit rate to view stations that stream at high bandwidth. You won't find many higher than 192k, because it's expensive to stream highband and also not always reliable.

Also consider if you streamed at 320kbps, all thought it might sound good after 4 listeners you are using as much bandwidth that a T1 / E1 provides.

320k x 4 =1280k
