IP Configuration (Please Help)

recently, i downloaded this iSCSI thing from the microsoft website. yea... i know it's for online storage, and I dont need it on my home PC... but I thought it was something else... do I downloaded and installed the Initiator

this caused problems.

when I go to the command prompt and type in ipconfig/all, it is supposed to show my IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS servers... HOWEVER.... now, after puting that stupid iSCSI initiator on my computer, it says something like:

Tunnel adapter Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:

i think it's supposed to say Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection

then below that it says

fe80::5ef:192.168.0.102%2 for my IP address....

there is nothing displayed for my default gateway....

this is what it says are my DNS servers:

fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1
fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1
fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1

Something is obviously very screwy here, and that could be why my broadcasting site (67.62.216.185:8000) doesnt work even tho i have everything else set up exactly right.

i've looked, and i dont see any way to remove the iSCSI Initiator : (

what is my problem? how do I fix it? please? any help would be great.

google says uninstall Microsoft iSCSI Initiator 1.06 by using the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel

are there any errors in the server log or are you behind a proxy or a firewall?

I tried removing it from the add/remove programs tool, and it didn't work. The initiator wasn't even in there. And besides that, even if I did remove it, I'd still have the same problem with my command prompt telling me I have some wacky IP address, wouldn't I?

Here is my event log. Everything seems fine, I think.

sounds like something is gone messy in your network connections.
Try to remove your current lan connection in the network connections window.
After that run the guide, and set up a new one

^ this is to get rid of any m$ drivers that might have planted themselves in the connection settings.

If that doesn't work, you might wanna try something like hijackthis

change sc_serv.ini so that srcip=127.0.0.1 and destip=127.0.0.1

kill/close sc_serv (server), make sure its not running or anyting else using port 8000 or 8001, open a DOS window and type netstat -an |find "800" is 8000 or 8001 is listed as LISTENING or ESTABLISHED you have another program or server using those port. If 8000/8001 are not listed start sc_serv again and look at the logs.

Alright, ill try that. And, I found the iSCSI under add/remove programs, and uninstalled it, but as I suspected, it didn't help change my configuration embeded in my computer. It's funny too.. I can rearange the setting under Network Connections in the control panel all I want, and it doesn't change what it says in my command prompt. Furthermore, I just know that what gibberish my computer is telling me my IP address is in my command prompt is the reason why I can't get my radio station to work.

Again, I'll try what you said, but please keep an open mind to helping me further, because this may not solve the problem. Forgive my rotten feeling, but I've been trying to figure this out all day.

By the way, the link to http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html didn't work.

i did everything that u said, and it tells me:

TCP 127.0.0.1:1160 127.0.0.1:8001 Established
TCP 127.0.0.1:8000 0.0.0.0:0 Listening
TCP 127.0.0.1:8001 0.0.0.0:0 Listening
TCP 127.0.0.1:8001 127.0.0.1:1160 Established

but tell me again, why would u make srcip=127.0.0.1 and destip=127.0.0.1??

My step dad has a network set up in the house for the internet. He has the modem and i have a card in my computer. If I was to remove the lan connection, I'd have to do it from his computer, right?

nono, the settings are located as following

go to your desktop, you'll see that theres a icon called "My Network Places" > right click > properties.

there you'll see something like "Lan Connection" or "Lan Connection 1"

right click > properties

Voila
