Why be in denial about a small IQ? I accepted it years ago.

Cabaret Voltaire - 1984 - Micro-Phonies

They were told to liven up or they'll "never make the soundtrack to a car ad". And what a surprise, not one Ford Focus commercial features Cabaret Voltaire.

Hey Nameless! Haven't seen you in a while. How's it going?

Pretty good. Just finished my first year at UC Irvine, which explains my lack of posting around here.

Much to Cylob's desperation

"A Certain Trigger" by Maximo Park (2005).

Nothing very original but it's very effective

Also, too much ambient to list

Maybe it'll grow on me, to their credit they don't sound like "just another" art-wave band from the UK. I can't see why they're in Warp's portfolio though, they bear no likeness (at all) to the other 50 bands.

What's rocking my vast, yet recently underused (due to lazines) mind.

Kent - Du Och Jag Döden - Kent have really grown on me recently, and this album might be the best I've heard from them, even if it doesn't contain any truly mindblowing songs, like, say Om Du Var Här (haha).

Communic - Waves of Visual Decay - first metal album that kept me interested in a long time.

Hrm..... what's with people rediscovering Maximo Park. Might as well get their b sides album while you're at it.

Best album of the month to me so far:

"In A Safe Place" by The Album Leaf (2004)

Thanks to Cylob for recommending this. It's brilliant.

Picked this up the other night at B&N Nice mix of downtempo electronica with traditional Arabic themes. Perfect for the Hookah room.

Peter Von Poehl - Going To Where The Tea Trees Are (2006)

I don't read French so I don't know anything about him other than his album sounds good. Recommended if you like the Nits or Maximillian Hecker.

No doubt our preferred tracks will be polarised (plenty of room for disagreement). Like "Electronic" there's only one filler.

"Rose" is the indietronic man's love album. It helps though if you have an indietronic woman to listen to it with. My other half's more into darkwave, or something with a BEAT!!!!

I must check out Peter Von Poehl if it's remotely similar.

To square that circle, Lycanthropy by Patrick Wolf (2004)

His new album was most disappointing, too much violin and too little synth.
