Jump to File not working
Hy,
when I open the Jump to file window, then I cant search any song. When I type a keyword in the searchbox it gives me a bunch of songs wich none of containes my keyword. I am using a HP compaq nx6125 notebook. One of my friend had the same problem with his notebook. The Winamp version number is 5.24 and my os is Windows XP Home Edition SP2 |

The Jump to File Extra version is 0.97.3 (build 20). The size of the playlist is about 1300 songs.
EDIT: updated JTFE to version v0.97.5 (Build 28, but still the same problem-no search results, it jumps automaticaly to the first item in the list. And it is not dependeing on the size of the playlist, i tried a very small playlist (18 song) and i had stil the same problem. Last edited by lowr; 28th June 2006 at 19:48. |

well something has got to be interfering with the feature since i can't reproduce that at all on all of my test setups (win95 through to win xp).
you don't by chance have some sort of finger print reader or something like that on your notebook since there was a similar issue a month or so back where the search failed due to this program blocking it somehow, can't find the thread at the moment though but was for some security access or other. -daz |

Here's the post by VeeJay identifying the fingerprint reader as the problem. |

Thank You
The fingerprint sensor really was blocking the search. I was alweys loged on using it, so i did not notice the difference.
